Kisii parents have raised their dissatisfaction with the government following the laptop project.
They claim they have been waiting all along for the program which would help digitise the education of their children but sidelined.
The parents say the children of the selected schools are going to benefit while their children will be disadvantaged.
They say the government should have issued the laptops to all children in the country to ensure equity.
“How will the children whose education system is digitised compete with the others? This is a failure on the part of the government,” said Ednah Wafula.
“I have been waiting since the ruling party came to power and when I heard the project had finally gone through but only to be disappointed that a selected few schools were issued with the laptops,” said Aaron Bosire.
