South Mugirango Member of Parliament Manson Nyamweya has criticised the government for continued borrowing yet it has taken no steps to tame graft.
Mason said more than Sh14 trillion alone has been borrowed by the Jubilee administration which has become a burden for the taxpayers.
“The Government has been borrowing without considering how they are burdening the taxpayers, it is not that we are poor as the country but the administrators lack accountability,” said Nyamweya.
“It is doing utterly nothing yet it has money. They are only feeding us with empty promises," he added.
He also said that there has been massive graft in the county hence the need for a new governor who can transform the county towards development.
The legislator was speaking at a fundraiser at Nyaburumbasi Catholic in Gucha South where he took his campaigns for Kisii gubernatorial seat in 2017.
Manson remarks come after the Jubilee administration has been accused of failing to address graft which has been seen as a hindrance to development.
