Stephen Mogaka, who is also vying for the West Mugirango seat said if thế leaders want such functions to stop being held in schools, they should purchase lands for the same because there is no available fields for such functions.
"Why should these leaders keep stopping us from using schools and they dont give us options, let them stop deaths then," Mogaka said.

"Matiang'i should stop intimidating people, he has big lands In Borabu and the sarrounding has no problem for land, now because they are comrfatable, he thinks all of us are," added Mogaka.
This comes after Nyamira County governor John Nyagarama asked the locals who wish to sell land to surrender ít to the county for cash or exchange elsewhere to assist cope with the problem
"We beg for anybody who has land to sell to tell us, we can buy the land for cash or purchase them land elsewhere for us to have a place to hold functions like funerals," said Nyagarama.
