Deputy President William Ruto has said that the government will support Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i’s firm stand against violent anti-IEBC protests In Nairobi.
His words come even as National Super Alliance (NASA) MPs accused the Jubilee government of formulating policies to kill the NASA supporters.
“Matiang’i should stand firm because we will not accept instability disguised as violent demonstrations," he said.
"We urge our competitors to respect the rule of law and they should know that the government will not sit back and watch,” he added.
He was speaking on Sunday at the African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa in Bahati, Nairobi.
