The Kenya Social Congress (KSC) party chairman, Atati Kengere has challenged the national government to hasten the compensation of Gusii IDPs since their compensation money was budgeted in 2016/2017 budget.

According to him, Gusii IDPs have suffered for a long time without the compensation like other tribes.

Speaking in Kisii town, Kengere challenged the government to hasten the exercise to show early transparency and accountability over the compensation.

“The budget was read on Wednesday and the money was set aside for the compensation of IDPs I am asking the government to do the compensation in time so that such IDPS look for a better place to live,” said Kengere.

Kengere also challenged the Cord coalition and the government to bring out the answer over the IEBC matter soon as possible so that Kenyans to know what is going on over IEBC.

‘‘The government accepted to dialogue with Cord. What we need as Kenyans is the decision they can make after dialoguing,” added Kengere.
