A former Kilifi government employee has been named as an Al-Shabaab fighter planning fresh attacks in the country.
Issa Abdallah Kauni who worked at the Kilifi County Headquarters is among ins terror suspect named in a list issued by Inspector-General of Police Joseph Boinnet last week to alert security agencies at the coast of possible attacks ahead of the Easter festivities.
The 26-year-old worked as the driver of Education Executive Salma Muhdin for six months.
Kauni vanished from his Malindi home three years ago forcing the county’s human resources department to publish a poster of him as a “missing person” in November 2014.
In 2015, Kauni’s father Abdallah Mohammed called for the arrest of his son.
The suspect had a Sh2 Million bounty on his head.
Other terrorists named include Abulkadir Abubakar Abdulkadir and Hussein Said Omar among others.
