North Eastern Regional Coordinator Mohamud Saleh has warned state officers who are yet to report to their various duty stations after the conclusion of the general election.

Speaking to journalists on Monday, Saleh said that stern disciplinary action will be taken against state officers who are absconding duty in the name of election.

He said that there is nothing to prevent state officers and other Kenyans from reporting to their duties.

“I want to remind government officers who are still at home to report to their work stations immediately or risk facing disciplinary action,” he said as quoted by the Star.

Saleh that the country has moved on, adding that those (government workers) still suffering from general election hangovers will be dealt with according to the law.
