The office of the Director of Public Prosecution has given the latest update on the case facing lawyer Kethi Kilonzo.
According to the DPP, the office is awaiting intructions from the Indepedent Electoral and Boundaries Commision.
Represented by Mungai Warui, the DPP informed Milimani Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi that a letter had already been written to IEBC awaiting responce.
Kilonzo is charged alongside IEBC official Godfrey Ninito for stealing an IEBC acknowledgment slip, serial number 0002058624.
The lawyer is accused of using the slip to claim that she had been lawfully registered as a voter at Ngong Forest Primary School in Nairobi.
Details about Kilonzo troubles with IEBC emerged in 2013 when she tried to vie for the Makueni Senatorial seat after the death of his father Mutula Kilonzo under unclear circumstances.
