Kibera residents have expressed their disappointment with the government.
Residents have said that the government has failed to improve the lives of people living in the slums.
The residents have accused the county bosses of failing to ensure that people living in the slums are favoured in terms of good housing, clean water, and good, improved health services among others.
Speaking at the DC market area, the residents vowed to vote out the current county bosses who have not met the promises they made during the 2013 campaigns.
"In 2013 Kidero said that lives of people living in slums would change when elected but it was false and empty promises made. Lives in the slum have worsened," said Alfred Kirwa.
Steven Kimondi noted that the leaders only want to be in power and once that was achieved, they forgot all about the people who put them there.
"I knew it very well, the leaders where after their stomachs. We chose them but they have failed to perform. The kind of houses we live in the slums has turned to be terrible,’’ said Kimondi.
"Health services within Kibera are in a poor state. Our youths are jobless despite the promises made that youths from the slums will get jobs to earn a living,’’ said Joseck Rotich.
Rotich said that the state of environment in Kibera with blocked drainage systems, increases prices of commodities making life unbearable for a large number of settlers in the area.
