Bosire said the government should address grievances raised by locals.
“The government must listen to complains raised by residents concerning the construction of the dam.
"We can not have the project started in the area yet the residents who are the host don’t want it,” he said.
According to Bosire, the government should engage in talks with the residents before the construction of the dam continues.
He said elected leaders must unite and stop the government from intimidating locals by coming up with projects that causes fear among the locals.
This comes after last week, residents protested opposing the project on claims that the government is planning to evict them from their lands they inherited from their grandfathers.
The locals have asked the government to relocate the construction of the dam to a different place.
