This follows the move by more than 290 specialists at the hospital who downed their tools to join the ongoing medics’ strike on Thursday, the Star reports.

KDF spokesman Col Paul Njuguna, said the doctors will operate at the facility until the strike ends over.

"It is our secondary duty to assist alleviate the suffering of patients. Our doctors have gone to KNH to assist the patients suffering following the strike by doctors. They will remain until the ongoing strike is over," said Njuguna as quoted by the Star.
