Nakoru was speaking on Tuesday in a security meeting at Nyamira, where he directly blamed the officials.

"Some local government officers and police are frustrating efforts to fight illicit brews such as chang'aa.

"Those demanding bribes should know their days are numbered, the law will catch up with them soon," he said.

The commissioner said the fight against the illegal businesses will go on until zero cases will be recorded.

"We will not rest until those engaging in making and selling illicit brews stops. Police should not spare anyone because the government has not legalized illegal businesses," he added.
