[Photo/flckr.com]The Kenya Society for the Deaf Children (KSDC) has lashed out at the government and the opposition for sweeping issues affecting people living with disabilities under the carpet.Francis Ng'ang' a, chairman of the group, has lamented that the deaf are concerned that they don't know what is going on in the country as none of the leaders is keen on telling them what is going on.''They claim that they champion the interests of the downtrodden yet none has bothered to address the issues affecting people living with disabilities. Deaf children are in pain because they feel that no one cares about them,'' Mr. Ng'ang'a.Speaking in Nairobi yesterday at KSDC offices in Nairobi, Ng'ang'a revealed that over 300,000 deaf children were out of school and lamented that politicians were not highlighting that issue.
