The government has urged retailers of maize flour not to raise the price of the basic commodity beyond 115 shillings amid biting shortage.Agriculture Principal Secretary Richard Lesiyampe said that there was no shortage and it would, therefore, be unethical for millers and retailers to increase the price. This comes in the wake of the government's withdrawal of a subsidy that allowed customers to buy flour at 90 shillings.Dr. Lesiyampe revealed that the government had already bought about 1.8 million bags from farmers since the start of the harvest season.
