The national government will partner with county governments to rehabilitate alcohol and drug addicts as its part of the war against illicit brews.

The Interior Ministry is already working on a plan which will see county governments get help from the national government to identify and take to rehab centers all drug addicts.

Interior CAS Patrick Ntutu said that drug addicts are sick people who need special attention and the government was ready to help them recover.

“There are so many drug addicts who need help because addiction is a disease and these people need treatment and that sir why s the national government we will work closely with the county governments to ensure that all these addicts get the necessary assistance,” he said.
