The vice, perpetrated by women, has also cut short the education of various girls as they are married off early to old men.

The government has worked to stop the menace but more still needs to be done. The government should employ strict rules that will help execute anyone found guilty of practising the vice.

In most cases, administration at the local levels have been accused of giving blind eyes to the problem.

They have even participated in marrying off the girls to the old men. With the current advancement in technology and other fields, practising some traditional practices should be stopped.

The girls being married off at an early age need to pursue their education and become great people in the society at one time in life.

The Garissa County community should also join hands to eradicate the vice in their community and save their girls from societal predicaments.
