According to Nyamira County Commissioner Isaiah Nakoru, teachers should report illicit brew brew dealers selling the outlawed liquor busaa and chang'aa near schools.

"Teachers should step up efforts in fighting the making, selling and distribution of illicit brews in the region.

"Illicit brew dens near schools should be closed down to ensure children are in school throughout since most of them are tempted to drop school to drink the liquor," he said.

The county boss said the fight against the illegal trade in the Nyanza based county is still on.

"Those lying to the public that police have stopped fighting the illegal making and selling of chang'aa in Nyamira are day dreaming. The crackdown is still on until all dealers ventures into alternative businesses which are legalized by the government for the security team to rest," he noted.

The commissioner warned parents against sending their children to buy chang'aa for them so that they can drink at their houses saying any child who will be found buying chang'aa on behalf of his or her mother will be arrested and help the officers to get the irresponsible parents who are spoiling the future of the children.
