Nairobi residents can now enjoy their Easter holidays after the Police said that they have beefed up security in Nairobi.

According to Inspector General of Police, Joseph Boinnet, they have beefed up the security followed by intelligence reports about planned attacks during the Easter celebrations.

Boinnet said security had been tightened at key areas, including special places like airports, hotels, public places in and near the city in case of any attack. He also added that the government will try to be in control but urged residents to be on higher alert if they suspect anyone of not being genuine.

“Police and NYS will also be deployed into town to beef up security in Nairobi during Easter,” said Boinnet.
