Deputy President William Ruto has assured students who don't meet university entry requirements that they will secure places in Technical Training Institutes.

On Saturday, Ruto through his Facebook account expressed the government's commitment in establishing training institutes in each constituency for students to further their studies.

"The government will build Technical Training Institutes in each constituency to give a chance to students who do not qualify to join universities get an opportunity to further their education," he said.

Ruto made the remarks after laying a foundation stone for the construction of Ikutha Technical Training Institute in Kitui South Constituency, Kitui County.
