President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday announced that integrated IDPs will be compensated despite the fact that they did not go to IDP camps.

"We are aware of integrated IDPs who were hosted by families and friends and din't go to the camps, we will be compesating them." Kenyatta said.

However, the president was quick to point out that only genuine IDPs will be compesated. Uhuru said now that all cases at the IC are over, his government will resettle Integrated IDPs as soon as possible to allow them to continue in their daily economic activities.

The president was speaking in Nyandarua county when he addressed members of the public in various stop overs when they inaugurated and commissioned development projects. He was accompanied by deputy president William Ruto and local leaders.
