The government has invested heavily in projects aimed at improving the lives of the residents of Kisii and Nyamira counties.
Addressing residents on Friday at Gusii stadium during the opening of 2016 Agricultural show the Deputy President William Ruto said the Government is working closely with county governments to boost the economy of the region.
The DP said that the county is going to construct 4 technical training in which will help youths get an opportunity to study new technologies more so in the agriculture sector.
He also said the national government plans to construct an additional 200 kilometers of roads in the area.
On electricity, the Deputy President said the Government will make sure that each village is connected with electricity.
“We have set aside Sh2.5 billion with which we can provide electricity to all our villages,” he said.
The Deputy President also said that the Government is going to install street lights in Kisii Town which will help the town push towards 24 hours economy.
