Ibeno ward residents in Nyaribari Chache constituency in Kisii County have a reason to smile after being assured of the government plans to erect a Medical training college in the area.

Addressing residents in Birongo Primary school during the launch of NYS empowerment program, area Member of parliament Richard Tong'i said they have agreed with the national government to transform Ibeno health center into a medical training center.

“We have agreed with the national government to upgrade the Ibeno health center into a medical training center,” said Tong’i.

“We hope that once the medical training center is constructed it will help us have our youths since they can join and be trained,” he added.

Tong'i said that through the PAC meeting which was held in Kisii on Monday led by their chairman, Kipipiri Mp Samuel Gichigi they urged the national government to allocate some amount in the construction of the medical training center at Ibeno.

“On Monday we asked the PAC to allocate some amount in aid of the construction of a training center in the next 2016\2017 financial year and we are aware that the Gichigi will help us get the money,” said Tong’i.

In the Mondays PAC meeting, the residents urged the national Government to allocate Sh200 million shillings in aid of the construction.
