The government is set to launch investigations into the recent series of fire incidents that rocked secondary schools in the Nakuru Country.
Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i held a consultative meeting with the Teachers Service Commission and Kenya National Union of Teachers officials in Mombasa where the decision was arrived at.
However , the meeting ruled out extended school calendar as the cause of the incidents.
The wave has hit Nakuru County where Michinda secondary school, Kambala girls, Kirobon high school and Shinners Boys were affected. The CS said consultations would help the government and stakeholders address the challenges facing the sector in an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect.
