Kenyans behind bars who cannot afford legal services now have a reason to smile after Attorney General Githu Muigai announced today that they would get free legal representation.''This is intended to make legal representation accessible to all. Justice should not discriminate on the basis of social standing,'' he said in Nairobi while unveiling the programme.Law students from various universities will have the opportunity to hone their skills by offering their services probono.''This is a good thing. I went the other day to Kamiti and I came across many wrongly-convicted prisoners. This program will give them hope.'' Angie, a law student at the University of Nairobi said.
