On Wednesday, the government announced that soon a cloud server will be procured where information about free primary and secondary education funds will be put open to the public.

Education CS, Fred Matiang'i said this will help in preventing the funds from being misused. He also said that the education sector in the country has enough resources but they are normally misused.

Matiang'i was speaking when he received a report on how schools spend free primary education funds from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).

According to the report, head teachers play a big role in misusing the funds.

On his part, EACC CEO, Halakhe Waqo proposed that teachers caught misusing the funds should be prosecuted.
