Telecommunications and Broadcasting Principal Secretary Sammy Itemere says the government has identified two local telecommunication providers to roll out the project before the end of the year.

Itemere says the Ministries of ICT and Education will run intensive ICT training programmes targeting teachers to help realise this project.

The internet connection is expected to help teachers across the country undertake online research that will expand their knowledge base.

The PS made the remarks in Naivasha after opening a five day appraisal workshop for heads of departments in the ministry of ICT.

The government has already connected over 96% of this school with electricity to aid in such projects.
