Residents in Kibera have urged the government to release details behind the Eurobond saga.

Some Kenyans feel the government has failed to release crucial and important information on the saga which led to the loss of 250 billion shillings.

Many Kenyans still have many unanswered questions. One of the Kibera residents, Bovine Lugati for example, said he thinks the government is not putting in more efforts to expose or address the situation.

‘’Why is the government not coming clean to the public about the proceedings? I think if they are investigating they should tell us what they have found out. The government should tell us how far it has gone,’’ said Lugati.

‘’Although the government still insists that no money was stolen, my question is why can’t they now give us the breakdown of how the money was used? The government should explain how or where the money was spent. It should also have evidence to show,’’ said Moses Murunga, another resident.

This comes few days after the Treasury permanent secretary, Kamau Thugge, assured a section of the public who had gathered at the University of Nairobi that no money from the Eurobond had been stolen.
