The national government has been challenged to list the names of all Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) that are going to be compensated mostly in Gusii region.
This comes after President Uhuru Kenyatta promised that all IDPs in Gusii region and of other parts of the country who have never been compensated to get their share soon.
Speaking on Tuesday the Kenya National Congress (KNC) party chairman Atati Kengere noted that is good for the government to give out the genuine list of all IDPs that are going to be compensated by the government as a show of transparency.
“When Uhuru visited Gusii region last week he pledged that the national government will compensate IDPs of Gusii region as soon as possible," said Kengere.
"I am requesting the government to list the names of those IDPs to show transparency,” he added.
Kengere also hailed President Kenyatta for his visitation in Gusii region whereby he launched various development projects in Nyamira and Kisii counties.
