Pastoral communities in Baringo have appealed to the national government to assist them due to harsh weather conditions affecting their livestock.

Speaking in Chemolingot town, Tiaty MP William Kamket asked the government to support pastoralists just like other farmers across the country are supported.

Kamket said that the government only comes to their aid when there’s severe crisis such as droughts.

He challenged the government also to help create good markets and improve the value addition of livestock to benefit local farmers.
