Addressing the press at Machakos town on Thursday, area Member of County Assembly (MCA) Cornelius Kitheka said the governor is keen to intimidate leaders in the county.

He said that Mutua is using dictatorial tactics to control leaders in the county.

“The governor should stop using the police to intimidate leaders,” said Kitheka.

Kitheka alleged that chaos experienced at Machakos Level Five hospital early this week was planned by governor Mutua’s supporters.

The MCA indicated that time when junior leaders used to be intimidated is over adding that governor Mutua should style up and respect all leaders.

Kitheka noted that the county would be ungovernable if the governor continues to intimidate other leaders.

He asked the governor to exercise democracy and respect the constitution that gives every Kenyan right to opinion and speech.

“We are living in a democratic era, the governor should know that,” said Kitheka.
