Herdsmen driven out of Boni forest have moved toward Tana River County, posing a security threat.
Tana River County Governor Dhadho Godhana said the mass movement of the herders to Kipini from Boni Forest poses a security threat to the county.
Godhana said the herders should be driven away to their respective counties, after they were ordered to move from the Boni forest where they were grazing their animals.
The county commissioner Oningoi Olesosio however, said he is not aware of the movement of herdsmen from Boni forest into the county.
Olesosio said police officers will be alert to curb in case of insecurity in the county.
Herders were ordered to move from Boni forest to allow the military bomb the forest to flush out Al Shabaab terrorist hiding in the forest.
