A Kilifi governor independent candidate has outlined his plans for the county if elected during the August 8 polls.

James Kahindi has said he will set aside money for the bereaved, as well as for jobless youths.Speaking on Sunday, Kahindi said families will get Sh50,000 to bury their loved ones after producing a death notification certificate and the deceased's voters card.He also promised to increase allocations for the elderly from Sh2,000 to Sh10,000.Kahindi will face the incumbent, Governor Amason Kingi (ODM), Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung’aro (Jubilee Party) and ex-Labour CS Kazungu Kambi (Kadu Asili) in the August 8 general election.
