Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama has solicited for peaceful campaigns in the coming election period.
During a function on Friday at Marindi High school, Bogichora ward, Nyagarama said people should embrace peace in the forthcoming election and politicians should seize from divisive politics.
Nyagarama, who was the chief guest of honour in the school's annual prize giving event also advised students from the region who did not score university entry grades to join other courses and also 'diversify their thoughts'.
"I advise those students who did not attain grades for direct university admission to join alternative courses in colleges," he said.
"They should also diversify their thoughts in a scheme to better their future lives. I also ask them to identify their talents and utilize them," added Nyagarama.
The incumbent Nyamira Governor pledged to support a fundraiser in purchase of the school bus. He also issued a bus to facilitate bench-marking and provided 5000 gravelia trees to local residents for planting during the ongoing rainy season.
