Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago has condemned violence incidences that were reported on Monday during an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) rally in Migori. While terming the violence as unfortunate, Mandago blamed his Mombasa counterpart Ali Hassan Joho for provoking the local leadership."Whatever happened in Migori was as a result of politicians from other counties insulting local leaders something that nobody has a right to do," noted Mr. Mandago."Every politician has his/her supporters and if provoked by their leader being insulted then violence is the result, " he added. The Jubilee allied governor challenged politicians to avoid utterances that might cause violence especially at this time that political temperatures are rising across the country."Any politician going round to seek for presidential votes be it from NASA or Jubilee should mind their words and avid utterances that might cause chaos," Mandago said.On Monday, a meeting organized by Suna East MP Junet Mohammed and attended by ODM Deputy Party Leader and Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho among others at the Posts grounds in Migori ended prematurely when area governor Okoth Obado with his supporters stormed the meeting leading to a clash between two rival groups. The violence left several people injured among them Governor Joho's bodyguard who was allegedly shot at by a bodyguard attached to governor Obado.
