Kisii county governor James Ongwae has said his county government has put strong measures to reduce theft of hospital drugs in all Kisii county hospitals.
Speaking on Wednesday at Marani level 4 hospital Ongwae noted that he has been receiving claims that some of the hospitals in the county don’t have enough drugs although his county government tries to equip them with enough drugs.
“We don’t want patients to be sent to various chemists to buy drugs, my county government is devoted to making sure health services are offered positively in all county hospitals,” Ongwae said.
“My county government has put measures in place to curb theft cases of hospital drugs in all hospitals and we need transparency in our health institutions,” added Ongwae.
“My county is investing more in the health sector to make sure health services is improved,” added Ongwae.
