Makueni county governor Kivuta Kibwana has denied allegations that he asked Wiper party leader to lead Ukambani votes into Jubilee ahead of the 2017 polls.
Kibwana was quoted by DP William Ruto’s press office that Kalonzo has told the Ukambani leaders that the community will not be in the opposition after the 2017 general elections.
Speaking on Wednesday, October 5, Kibwana said that the quote by the press was false.
"Kamba community is not ready to negotiate with Jubilee since the Kamba community leaders have not met to development from Jubilee to join the Jubilee party," said Kibwana.
Kibwana added that Kalonzo has not told Ukambani leaders the options he had in mind ahead of the 2017 elections.
He termed Ukambani leaders as leaders with poor negotiation skills to develop the region whether in the government or at the opposition.
