Nakuru Governor  Kinuthia Mbugua has retariated that devolution is key to development in this country.

Speaking when he hosted Uganda Police Force officers at the county headquarters when they paid him a courtesy call, Mbugua said in order for devolution fruits to be achieved, politics must be kept aside and focus on long term development so as to achieve Vision 2030.

"Devolution is key to development and in order to realise this there is need to put aside politics and focus on long term goals," said Mbugua.

The Ugandan delegation led by Senior Commissioner of Police Edyegu Richard also included Nakuru businessman, industrialist and Bedi Investments. CEO Jas Bedi.

They visited the Nakuru County to learn more about devolution in Kenya, using Nakuru County as a benchmark.

Governor Mbugua was accompanied by his deputy governor Joseph Ruto the MCA for Subukia Peter Njoroge (Mwanjo) and Nakuru Trade and Tourism Chief Officer Edith Kimani among other county officials.
