Abdi, who sent ODM incumbent Ahmed Abdullahi packing, said that a new dawn for the county has begun.
The Jubilee governor said that his agenda is to empower residents economically. He claimed that residents had been suppressed and undermined by Abdullahi’s leadership.
The governor elect stated that his government will be inclusive and will fight for the interests of every resident without discrimination.
“I want to thank Wajir residents for believing in me and promise to be there for them at all times and ensure they are economically empowered,” he said as quoted by the Star.
The Jubilee governor elect also pledged to spearhead unity among residents. He also vowed to end boarder conflicts with neighboring communities.
The Jubilee governor elect urged residents to work with him saying that he will provide the change and the leadership they have been yearning for many years.
The former Saudi Arabia ambassador also urged clan elders to work with his administration in propelling development agenda forward.
The Jubilee governor floored outgoing governor Abdullahi in the recently concluded general election. The outgoing governor disputed the results alleging malpractices in tallying.
