Mandera Governor Ali Roba has called upon his EFP politicians to join hands with him to drive development agenda in the region.
He fired a warning at politicians engaging in politics at the expense of development.
The county boss noted that the time for politicking was over and what remained was time for delivering to the people of Mandera.
The Governor was speaking at Tabaka on Monday in a bid to end hostility among the two famous parties in the region.
“Jubilee and EFP camps are now over and we only have one governor and we should respect that,” noted Roba.
The Governor was in the company of Mandera Senator Mohamed Maalim and devolution and special planning CS Eugene Wamalwa.
Economic Freedom Party is one of the dominant parties in the region and is backed up by the council of elders.
Mandera Senator seconded the Governor and called upon former EFP gubernatorial aspirant Hasaan Noor to come forward and join hands with the Governor in transforming the region.
CS Eugene Wamalwa noted that Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga were working together and so should the two leaders in the region work together.
The leaders were assessing the impact of drought in the region.
