Mandago lauded the Bishop’s efforts in calling for peace, saying that they have helped to unite the country.

Speaking to the media after paying a courtesy call to the Bishop at his Eldoret office over the weekend, Mandago observed that Bishop Korir’s efforts have been seen and bored fruits.

“We want to acknowledge and appreciate the role played by Bishop Korir in calling for unity across Kenya,” he said.

The Uasin Gishu governor asked other church leaders to be on the frontline and help unite Kenyans, adding that unity is critical for development and that leaders should take up the mantle and preach peace.

The governor said that tribalism and incitement utterances will only continue to divide Kenyans, urging political leaders to put aside their differences and work for the people.

He stated that Kenya belongs to every citizen, and that political differences and party affiliations should not be used to cause disharmony among Kenyans.

The county boss noted that his government has put in place various strategies aimed at preaching peace and unity among Uasin Gishu county residents.
