Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui has called on the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)to carry out an investigation into his government.
According to Kinanjui, there could be misappropriation of funds in his regime and therefore he wants the EACC to unearth any acts of corruption.
"Development can only be achieved if we make good use of public money. Any corrupt county officer should know his or her days are numbered," Mr Kinyanjui noted.
Speaking while in his county, Kinyanjui urged locals to report any corrupt county staff for action to be taken.
His sentiments come in the wake of the country facing several corruption scandals with the nYS scandal .making headlines recently.
During his Madaraka Day speech, President Uhuru Kenyatta announced that he will not relent in the fight against corruption.
