The governor of West Pokot John Lonyangapuo has sought the help of the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission in investigating members of a board responsible for a collapsed project in the county.160 million shillings was pumped into the construction of the Chepareria Technical Institute, a project which has stalled.Governor Lonyangapuo is deeply concerned that a report is yet to be tabled in the County Assembly months after the project stopped.''There is a strong basis to believe that public funds were misused here. We are inviting officials from the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission to investigate this matter and those found guilty of misusing public funds arraigned in court to answer to charges of stealing from the public,'' Governor Lonyangapuo said yesterday in his county.The governor was elected on an anti-corruption platform, promising to inject integrity into service delivery and to go after corruption cartels in the county.
