Jama has remained mum since the budget estimates were unanimously rejected by the 48 MCAs on June 30, and he now reveals the anomalies have been corrected.

Jama acknowledged the differences that previously existed between the executive and the county assembly over the contents of the budget, which he now says have been resolved.

The governor regretted that the budget debate had widely been politicized and misinterpreted by a section of politicians with personal interests.

Jama further said the adoption of the budgetary allocations will enable his government to settle pending bills owed to the hired contractors and suppliers of vital commodities.

Mohamed Abdi, the Dadaab MCA who at one time brokered a consultative meeting between the assemble and the executive, has also said he is happy to announce that a deal had finally been struck.

Abdi said since the budget was turned down, the assembly has eventually done a report audit and resolved the contentious issues.
