The verbal war pitting Mombasa Governor and ODM Deputy Party leader Hassan Joho and Deputy President William Ruto escalated on Sunday as Joho asserted that the DP was a ‘thief.’
Joho said it is a fact that the Jubilee administration has looted billions of taxpayers’ money, and rubbished Rift Valley Council of Elders' request that required him to apologise to Ruto for calling him a thief.
A week ago, the elders warned that they would curse Joho if he failed to honor their petition, and instead of apologising, Joho nicknamed the DP ‘Arap Mashamba.’
Joho, once again dismissed the government’s plans of transferring port services from Mombasa to Naivasha.
DP Ruto had called Joho an academic dwarf for his stand on establishment of a dry port in Naivasha.
Accompanied by Kilifi Women Representative Aisha Jumwa, Kwale Senator Juma Boy, Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori among others; and were speaking at a Sunday rally at Likoni Bomani grounds, Mombasa County.
