[Photo|Ali Hassan Joho]Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho spent his Boxing Day with patients and staff at the Coast General Hospital.In line with the spirit of the festive season, he directed the hospital management to waive all bills of patients who had fully recovered and ready to be discharged. "About 50 patients walked home this afternoon to join their families in the new year celebrations. Consequently over Kshs. 2 million worth of medical bills was written off," said Joho on Tuesday.Flanked by Likoni MP Mishi Mboko and her Mvita counterpart Abdulswamad Nassir, Joho noted the move was in line with his government’s commitment to prioritize the health of the people. "The County government of Mombasa will continue to equip the hospital to ensure convenient access to quality healthcare for all," he affirmed.
