Kibwana says that he is ready to reach to all the politicians in the county for the sake of unity.

Addressing journalists on Wednesday, the Wiper Governor said that it is time for the region to unite and push its development agenda forward.

He said that the region's political plans will come true only if politicians irrespective of their political parties work together.

“I have consulted and decided to spearhead the unity and reconciliation talks among our politicians who are not seeing eye to eye,” he said as quoted by the People daily.

The Makueni governor said that region has the potential of producing top leaders noting that disunity is what is letting them down.

Kibwana asked elected leaders to work together and propel the county’s development agenda forward.

There have been simmering wars among some Kamba politicians in regards to the county and national politics.

The Ukambani wars pitting some leaders escalated following the fall-out between Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Machakos governor Alfred Mutua among other politicians immediately after the 2013 general election.

Several politicians ditched Kalonzo’s party and joined Jubilee prior to the recently concluded general election

The rebel politicians campaigned for Jubilee and have vowed to work with Uhuru’s government.

Kalonzo’s political future remains uncertain after NASA lost in the recently concluded general election. Political analysts observe that Kalonzo’s political future is in limbo if Raila Odinga quit politics.

NASA has filed a petition in court challenging Uhuru’s re-election and analysts observe that it will be the end of Raila and Kalonzo if the Supreme Court upholds Uhuru’s re-election in a ruling to be made on Friday.
