Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has dismissed reports they have dissolved the Muungano Party.
Speaking in a Matuu Hotel after meeting party aspirants from Machakos and Kitui, Governor Kibwana clarified that the party has not been dissolved, but entered into a working coalition with Wiper party.
He said all interested in contesting are free to do so only that they will be treated equally with their Wiper counterparts.
On threats that he should not be given a direct wiper nomination, the Governor said those complaining are not even wiper members and have no business giving ultimatum to the leaders.
“Muungano and Wiper party have entered into a coalition agreement. We have not dissolved our party,” he said.
Both parties are in opposition coalition National Super Alliance.
