[Photo: Amason Kingi/Facebook]Kilifi governor Amason Kingi has taken a swipe at the Jubilee government, saying it is fighting Devolution.Kingi who seeks re-election on an ODM party ticket, said Kilifi has been marginalised by subsequent governments since Kenya attained independence.Citing the failure by President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration to implement the Truth Justice and Reconciliation (TJRC) report, which highlights how the Coastal people facing land injustices should be compensated, Kingi assured his residents that all was not lost.Under the Jubilee government, he said Kenyans have witnessed the high cost of living, highest levels of corruption, extra judicial killings, misuse of public funds and widespread tribalism."Kilifi has been marginalised by subsequent governments since Kenya attained independence. The Constitution gave Kilifians an opportunity to reap the fruits of devolution," he said.Kingi who is a strong critic of the Jubilee government, asked Kenyans to vote in the National Super Alliance (Nasa), for an equal distribution of national resources. He praised the Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga, saying under his government, tribalism would be buried and the TJRC report fully implemented to address historical land injustices affecting the Coastal people. Kingi further affirmed that Nasa would speak the language of unity, love and harmony throughout the electioneering period.
