A bruising political battle is looming in the race for the Magarini parliamentary seat which is currently held by Jubilee Party's Harrison Kombe.
With ODM keen to recapture the seat it failed to defend in 2013 following the election of Amason Kingi as Kilifi Governor, the Raila Odinga-led party is not leaving anything to chance. On Saturday, Governor Kingi toured the constituency where he asked residents to support the ODM candidate for the seat, his brother Michael Kingi. The Governor said the ODM candidate is the right man for the job adding that he will bring change once elected.“Politics and family are two different things all together and by virtue that my brother wants your votes does not mean that politics is a family affair," Governor Kingi said.Kingi who was in company of other aspirants for the various seats including Senator Stewart Madzayo asked residentsto support Raila Odinga's presidential bid as he stands for the real change that the country is looking for.
