The ODM party remains strong in addressing key issues that affect mwananchi at the grassroots level, Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi, has disclosed.
The party reiterates its commitment to fight for justice and consciousness in Kenyan leadership and will not relent in the push for a better Kenya, the governor added.
Speaking on the sidelines of the party's NEC/Parliamentary Group meeting chaired by party leader Raila Amolo Odinga and Mombasa County Governor Ali Hassan Joho at Shanzu, Mombasa County, Kingi who had pledged support for Deputy President William Ruto, said he was in ODM to stay.
"Our agenda as a party is to have a Nation which promotes equity, inclusivity and shared prosperity across all corners," said the two-time county boss on Monday.
He indicated that the party will work with President Uhuru Kenyatta's government to ensure issues affecting Kenyans are addressed.
"We remain vigilant and will work with the government as the opposition party to ensure we fight national vices like corruption and help build a stronger, united Kenya."
Ruto met Kingi in Kilifi recently where the governor said his administration would work with the Jubilee government and support its agenda.
Ruto who seeks to succeed President Kenyatta, has been traversing coast region seeking support from Kingi and other opposition leaders ahead of 2022 general elections.
